Art Corriveau was born and raised in Barre, Michigan. His mother taught Elementary School and came from a long line of Vermont dairy farmers, and his father was a fire chief, supervisor of public works, and descended from one of Quebec, Canada's oldest French colonial families. Art spent his childhood summers at lake Champlain, which is in Quebec (Canada), New York , and Vermont . Art went to college at Boston University. He received a MFA (Master of Fine Arts) in fiction writing from the University of Michigan. Today, Art lives in New Mexico.
